A Beautiful Fall Day in the Corn

Back when it was sunny and warmer, Nate and I went to a corn maze with my Mom, Dad, and brother.  It was a fun adventure – and a perfect day to spend outside!

Coffee #11 (Tea #1)

It’s tea time!  When the weather gets cold and dreary, I ditch the coffee and turn to my vast assortment of herbal teas.  And, since I bought it with my birthday money (!), I now have a proper tea pot in which to brew my beverage.  I have been throughly enjoying my tea pot, and the teacups and saucers we got with our dishes.  I wear a big wide grin every time I pour a cup of tea!

Happy Monday and Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you had a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving!  I certainly did.  I continued many Thanksgiving traditions, including not running the Turkey Trot, sleeping in, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, then the National Dog Show, and not buying a darn thing all weekend.  Especially on Friday.  No shopping allowed on Friday.

But now it is Christmas music time!  I have strict rules to wait until after Thanksgiving to break out the Christmas music, but I can assure you it is playing now!  Here’s one of my favorites!  I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this a million times, but if not, it is a gem!

I have a soft spot in my heart for male a capella groups, especially ones with a sense of humor and some fun choreography (although you’ll have to check out some other videos to witness that)!  So with that, I give you, Straight No Chaser!

You know you’re being inattentive when …

your tomatoes start sprouting baby tomato plants.
So I’ve been a little preoccupied and I’ve neglected many things. I would like to say it’s going to get better, but I’m probably not going to find extra time anytime soon, what with the holidays approaching and Nate and I deciding – kind of on a whim – to buy a house. Yeah, when (if?) we finally move in I’ll write all about that craziness. So if I’m spotty until about the middle of January, it’s because I can hardly find time to pick out which shoes to wear in the morning, much less have time to write.
Although I will say the constant stress and motion of home-buying and the holidays does not leave much time for feeling discombobulated and fed up with one’s life. So that’s been good.
I’ll try to update when I can and send pictures when I take a fun one, and hopefully I can get this blogging thing back on track in 2012!

It’s Red Cup Season!

Red Cup Season

I think my afternoon Peppermint Mocha cost more than my lunch. But it was totally worth it.

I never laugh until I’ve had my coffee.
