and so it begins

I’ve heard that the hardest part of any new adventure is taking the first step, and I’d have to say that’s probably true.  This blog has been a long time coming, and it is really an experiment.  I have no idea where it will go, or how long it will last.

I am not a writer by trade or training, although as a child I loved to read and write stories.  Now, as an adult, I’ve lost the art of reading for pleasure – except for blogs.  I think I am up to 17 or 18 in my blog reader, which I generally keep up on.  And just like how, as a kid, I thought in the voice of whichever novel I was reading, I often find myself thinking in blog.

All this is to say – here goes.
